ARTIST ~ Sonam Kalra
SONG ~ Chaleya Momin - The Search

In the song, a seeker journeys in search of a land where there is true equality between all beings. The seeker says, 'I belong to no religion or creed, I am but a child of God, free from labels, and whichever being God resides in, whichever heart, whichever home, that is where I shall worship. I do not want to live in a land that is devoid of love, devoid of the religion of humanity. Why do we ask what race a man or woman belongs to, when God lives in everyone? In every heart and in every being.'

The song is a commentary on the state of the world at this time- the narratives of hatred and divisiveness that are being propagated across the world are frightening and are leading to so many hate crimes and social discord. We are forgetting humanity, kindness and compassion and so this song is a reminder, a call to one's conscience to remember that we are but children of humanity and of one world.
